VisualMatter is my practice.
My background is in global photography and film, shaped across music, sport, fashion and celebrity culture. That experience now informs the systems I build, bringing clarity, protecting quality and helping ideas hold at scale.
I work as an embedded Creative Director inside organisations, often at the point where growth or complexity begins to fragment output. My role is to define what matters, build the language around it, and create the structure that allows it to move without dilution.
This thinking has shaped work across adidas Global Football, High Scream and the Esports World Cup from global brand principles to visual architecture for image-making at scale.
The scale may change.
The principle does not.
VisualMatter is deliberately lean.
No fixed team. No excess.
Just senior creative leadership, with the right people brought in when the work demands it.
“David Ellis was the first person who truly understood what our brand needed from the start. His creative direction from Ushuaïa to Hï Ibiza transformed how we presented ourselves to the world, especially within the international music community. He brings vision, clarity, and unmatched energy to everything he touches. We love working with him. His work isn’t just beautiful; it gave High Scream a visual voice we still use today.”
